Here are some greeting cards I've made. Feel free to save
them onto your hard drive and send them to people. (I might
even put up some kind of e-card service at some point ...)

St. Valentine's Day, February 14th

(Click for full size, 574x842 px)

Words probably need not be spilled on explaining this day, which, due to societal propaganda that being single is WRONG, has become so frustrating for everyone without any 'special someone' to torment with greeting cards.
(The characters are Eva and Ting Yay.)

Another variation, slightly autobiographical ...

Day of the Protector of the Motherland, February 23rd

(Click for full size, 473x700 px)

Originally a day, on which the brave men (and women, though they are often forgotten) who risked and gave their lives for the Soviet Union in WWII were honoured in Russia, it has evolved into the male equivalent of International Women's Day (March 8th). Since Women's Day is celebrated a bit more in Russia than in most other countries, with flowers and chocolate and what not for all women, the same goes for the Day of the Protector of the Motherland. Despite certain patriarchal qualities, it's still a bit sweet. If people insist on celebrating women with flowers and chocolate, then men should also be celebrated in the same way. (Actually, I think there is much more reason to celebrate men by giving them chocolate and flowers, because men are usually much cuter, sweeter, and much more romantic and emotionally sensitive than women.)

Cosmonaut Day, April 12th

(Click for full size, 701x421 & 420x416 px respectively)

On 12th of April, 1961, Yurochka Gagarin, the first human in space, flew a couple of times around the earth in a little Sputnik. This milestone in human striving to revolt against the rules of nature certainly should be celebrated, but let's not forget about all the little doggies, monkeys and other creatures (piggies?) who were forced to clear the way for the humans, without anyone ever asking them if they really wanted to.
(The porcine cosmonaut is Kozmopig.)

A birthday card

(Click for full size, 600x869 px)

Year after year, the fight goes on ...
The same, only more violent: in Russian.

More cards to come. Probably.
