The Eagle Ray's Tattoo Parade

Shannon has two tattoos:

an anchor on her shoulder, which she had made when she was quite young, to show that she was as real a sailor as anyone else in the dockside bars where she and her fellow pirates used to hang out, and her old ship, Titania, across her chest. Shannon grew up on Titania, and her father was the captain of the ship. After old Paddy Armstrong was killed in action, the pirates voted for Shannon to become his successor.

(In later years the horizon line has become rather convex, but Shannon thinks it just makes the picture more natural.)

Aeron has a winged skull and a compass card tattooed on his arm. The skull is a symbol for his master's servant Anammelek, whose life he accidentally took, and the compass card deals with searching for a direction in life. The two nautical stars on his shoulders are not communist symbols, as Willie had been hoping, but they are symbols for protection and guidance, deriving from the North Star used for navigation.

Aeron also has a tattoo on his back, but he doesn't like showing it off for some strange reason. You can read the story of how he got it in Tunguska #0.

Eva has a flaming heart on her right shoulder, and her heart flames, of course, for "La Vie", life.

Eva has some other tattoos here and there, but they are too obscene to be shown in a place like this.
