How Che became Minister of Industry (no historical prooves on this story ...):
All the little Cuban revolutionaries were assembled, and stood before the task of putting together a government. Che was lost in thoughts about in which forms the Marxist revolution could continue its struggle against the USA-imperialism, as he suddenly woke into consciousness. He thought he had heard the chairman ask who in the room was a comunista. Instantly Che’s arm arose in a forceful socialist realistic gesture, but to his surprise he noticed that he was the only one having raised his hand. But before he could think any further, the chairman said,
- So, Che is the only one who wants to be ministra de indústria. Any objections, everyone?
While denying shouts rang out, Che let his hand sink down onto the table again, and decided to concentrate more on the rest of the meeting. “The ability to look straight forward”, he thought, “without overlooking the crooked paths of the moment - that is what Marxism teaches!”
