Bawgai (=bear) was rather timid. He kept circling our camp in hopes of food (which he got, just like most other dogs we met), but never dared come close to us, and ran away with his tail between his legs if we called him.
Mihai had bought some chocolate at the airport in Moscow, and then forgotten about it, and it melted and mixed itself with all the other stuff in that particular pocket of his backpack. No one wanted to eat it anymore, and at some point Mihai forgot the chocolate outside. When he came back, only the paper was left, licked very clean by Bawgai ... (And here I thought dogs didn't like chocolate! Actually, chocolate is supposed to be poisonous for dogs, but Bawgai seemed perfectly fine. Maybe Mongolian dogs have stronger stomachs?)
